Primary Latin I, which uses the First Form Latin text, is the perfect first class for grades five and beyond, and it is an excellent next step for younger students after completing Latina Christiana. In this class, students will learn vocabulary, derivatives, all six active indicative tenses of the first two conjugations, all five noun declensions, first and second declension adjectives, as well as songs and chants. The grammar is learned at a pace that encourages complete mastery and boosts the student’s enjoyment of and confidence in Latin. It is an excellent preparation for Primary Latin II (Second Form Latin) or any subsequent Latin course. This course uses the First Form Latin textbook. We play games and have fun in every class! Grades 4 and above with the prerequisite of Latina Christiana (Introduction to Latin B). Otherwise, grades 5 and above. This is a 34-week course. Magistra Christine Vergare.
